What’s your role at Retail24?
I am one of 4 Regional Managers in the company, and my region is Mid-Norway. I have a fast paced and exciting workday, where I mainly is responsible for all recruitment, and on a daily basis I follow-up our merchandisers, sales people and demo personnel in my region.
My focus is delivering quality, being cost effective and flexible.
What were you doing before Retail24?
I have mainly worked in the retail business since 1983. In addition to work in stores and being a merchandiser, I have run my own company with customers within the retail business. Before I joined Retail 24, I worked 3 years in the same position I have today, but for another company.
What does a typical workday look like for you?
One thing is certain, not one day is similar and that`s what makes the job exciting.
I spend a lot of time on the phone and follow up my employees and customers.In addition, I staff people to different assignments and take care of the logistics when it comes to equipment to different assignments.
What attracted you to work at Retail24?
The passion the owners have for the company, and the variations you have in the grocery business.
If the story of Retail24 was made into a film, who would play you?
That was a difficult question! I think I have to say Annette Bening.
Do you have a motto for life?
Nothing is impossible – the impossible just take a bit longer time.
If you could try another profession for a day, what would it be?
Since I like being creative, I would like to work as an interior designer.
If you’re not working where can you usually be found?
When I`m not working, I spend time together with family and friends. I like to visit my cabin, where I can relax with a lot of fresh air and closeness to the sea. I also find it easy to find projects that requires some creative challenges where I can use my body.
